About Ellie
I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist based in South East London.
Psychotherapy offers different things to different people, but ultimately, it is an opportunity to understand yourself and others, overcome challenges, and find meaning in a conflicted world. My approach is relational and integrative. This means that I am interested in developing a therapeutic relationship with clients that facilitates trust and understanding, whilst leaning into a selection of approaches that offer meaning and tangible support, tailored to each person.
My approach is rooted in the humanistic strand of therapy, namely the core conditions of person-centred therapy. From this foundation, I draw upon a number of approaches, including psychodynamic theory and compassion-focused therapy. I offer myself as a non-judgemental, compassionate witness to your experience. I believe that we all deserve to be seen, heard and understood - and it’s within that experience that we find a path through challenge.
In weekly sessions together, you will lead and I will be guided by you. I may ask questions, notice patterns or themes, offer interpretations or reframes, and at times, provide gentle challenges with the intention of being wholly supportive. Together, we might look at past experiences and relationships, and try to connect the dots between what’s happened in the past and what’s happening in the present. Most importantly, however, is what feels meaningful to you.
I have a post-graduate diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy and am currently completing my masters in Counselling & Psychotherapy. I am a registered member with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), meaning that I am part of an accredited body and adhere to their ethical codes of conduct and commitments to good practice. I offer one-to-one therapy both online and in person.
I am available on Friday afternoons
Cost per 50 min session - £50 for an initial assessment session. £65 per session for ongoing therapy
