DR GEORGI WALLINGTON
HCPC Registered Clinical Psychologist
About Georgi
I am a UK registered Clinical Psychologist and a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. I have 7 years of experience delivering therapy and mental health support in the NHS. For five years I worked in NHS primary care health settings working with adults, where I developed my skills using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I have worked in Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) working with young people and families together.
I commonly use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT). These are also more appropriate approaches for when someone is motivated to learn more about making shorter and longer-term changes to the difficulty that is impacting their life. Difficulties I commonly support in this way are generalised anxiety and worry, stress, phobias, panic attacks, OCD, health anxiety, sleeping problems, low self-esteem, depression/low mood and adjusting to major life changes and health conditions. I have a special interest in supporting people with insomnia, mostly using CBT and ACT, as well as supporting people with challenges and adjustments to living with a long-term health condition, such as chronic pain, chronic fatigue, diabetes and cancer.
I also use narrative, systemic and person-centred approaches. I support individuals in making sense of their story, and how they have been impacted throughout their life by society, culture, and the environment. I encourage compassion, understanding new perspectives
I currently offer sessions on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons and evenings. I only offer sessions online by video.
Cost per session: £110- £130 / 60 minute sessions, or according to the fee schedule of your insurer. I am also registered with Cigna and Evernorth.
HCPC registered PYL041517.
