Michelle Gorman
BACP Accredited Psychodynamic Psychotherapist
I am a qualified and experienced LGBTQ+ affirming psychodynamic psychotherapist based in south east London. I’m available for both online and face to face sessions for individual adults. The focus of my practice is providing safe space and consideration of you, your relationships and your experiences in order to facilitate a greater understanding and acceptance of self.
Psychodynamic therapy places an emphasis on exploring how past and present experiences and feelings shape the unconscious mind, which in turn impact our conscious thoughts and feelings about ourselves and the world day to day.
I completed an MA in Counselling at Goldsmiths University and am a registered member of the BACP, meaning that I am part of an accredited body and adhere to their ethical codes of conduct and commitments to good practice.
I have worked with the Deborah Ubee Trust in Greenwich since 2019, seeing a wide range of clients both face to face and online.
The therapeutic process is a courageous step towards oneself and can sometimes be challenging. My role as a therapist is to help create a space of respectful exploration, agency and mutuality where those challenges can be faced together.
I'm available Monday mornings, Thursday afternoons and evenings.
£80 per session, £65 concession rate. I charge £55 for an initial session.
